Entrepreneurial Potential From Saville Consulting Wave®
  Saville Consulting Wave

Assess and report on a person's Entrepreneurial Potential using the Saville Consulting Wave®

What Makes for a Successful Entrepreneur

The Wave Entrepreneurial Report is used to identify Entrepreneurial Potential, based on the Entrecode® model - a model of how successful entrepreneurs create and lead high value businesses, often starting with virtually nothing. This model is based on fifteen years of research undertaken by Professor David Hall and his associates ( www.entrecode.co.uk). The report predicts potential in each of six core areas, from‘Getting in the Zone’ through to ‘Building Capability’. At a glance, you can see if your respondent has what it will take to be successful, quickly identifying strengths, development needs, blind spots or potential derailers.

“A major finding of the research was that successful innovators, change agents and business developers have the same profile as successful entrepreneurs.”
Professor David Hall, Entrecode

When to use the Entrepreneurial Report

The report is particularly relevant where there is a need to identify people who will thrive in start up businesses and new markets. The data adds great insights when looking for entrepreneurial leaders who will create and add value to a business. Venture capitalists, people looking to invest equity and those looking to start businesses or identify suitable partners have been major users of this report.

Help Venture Capitalists & New Business Incubators

Assist investors and venture capitalists to assess entrepreneurial capability to start and build high growth businesses in the local community, region or country.

  Build on Entrepreneurial Strengths

Use the Entrepreneurial Potential Report to pinpoint the relevant EntreCoaching modules and Entrecode® Toolkits for instilling the behaviors, processes and thinking styles of successful entrepreneurs.

Coach Entrepreneurs to Build High Growth, High Value Businesses

Entrepreneurs have a specific way of learning and developing, primarily from active experimentation, trial-and-error, and from peers, family and friends. The EntreCoaching approach maximises learning by leveraging these insights, including:
Encouraging and modeling action taking
Minimizing power and control i.e., bureaucracy
Focusing on strengths not weaknesses
Helping to remove blockages to progress

  Developing Entrepreneurial Potential

The Entrepreneurial Potential Report is linked to Entrecode® consulting services and an ‘EntreCoaching’ Toolkit. This suite of developmental materials targets the 21 competencies that support the six core aspects of entrepreneurial success, and is specifically designed to capitalise on how entrepreneurs learn and develop. Saville Consulting Wave® users interested in expanding their coaching repertoire can participate in a short ‘EntreCoach’ workshop to become eligible to use the toolkit.

  Powering the Entrepreneurial Report

The Entrepreneurial Report can be powered by Saville Consulting Wave® Professional Styles (40 minutes completion time) or Wave Focus Styles (13 minutes completion time). In addition to the summary, the report contains a more detailed profile that presents narrative interpretation of the results on the 21 entrepreneurial competencies that underlie the six core areas.
