Psychometric Tests are useful tools in today's workplace. Not only do they provide a scientific basis for selection and development of employees, they also save incredible time and cost given their ability to assess candidates rapidly and objectively. However, these benefits disappear if the tools are not used properly. It's important for all users of a test to understand the basic principles of psychometric assessment generally, in addition to how the test works, how to interpret it, report and make decisions based upon the test. In order to ensure that all users of Identity are competent to use it, PsyAsia International requires users to demonstrate their competence by way of one of the routes below.
ROUTE 1: Identity
2-Day Accreditation Course
This course is for
those with no formal qualification
in psychometric personality tests
who wish to use the Identity Online
Personality Assessment. If you wish
to use the hard copy assessment, this
course alone is not for you. That
said, if you already hold a certificate
in Psychometric Test Administration
and/or BPS Level A, you will additionally
be permitted access to the hard-copy
version of Identity. Alternatively,
it would be a wise investment to consider
attending our Psychometric
Assessment at Work course and
gain an internationally recognised
qualification from the British Psychological
Society that qualifies you in all
aptitude tests, online and hardcopy
versions of the Identity Personality
Assessment and a number of other personality
tools.
ROUTE 2: Test
Administration & Identity 2-Day
Accreditation Course
This route is for those
who have no formal qualification in
psychometric assessment and wish to
use both the hard-copy and internet
based versions of Identity. You will
join a total of three days of training.
One day will be test administration
and the other 2 day will be an Identity
Questionnaire workshop. You will optionally
be able to apply for the British Psychological
Society Certificate of Competence in
Test Administration.
ROUTE 3: Purchase
the Identity Manual
If you already hold
a qualification in a substantive personality
assessment and/or BPS Level B, you are
already qualified to use Identity.
Identity was designed to be
an easy tool to convert to following
your training. If you would like to
learn more about Identity from
an accredited Psychologist facilitator,
feel free to register for the Identity
training outlined below. However, if
you agree to purchase the Identity
manual and read it thoroughly, alongside
the user and interpretation guides,
you may order Identity as soon
as you are ready!
In order to administer
the hard-copy version of Identity (or
any psychometric test) competently you
need to be trained in proper test administration.
If not, you may negate the benefits
of the test by impacting upon reliability
and validity or other factors. Attending
the test administration day will provide
you with the foundation skills to enable
you to competently administer a range
of psychometric assessments of personality
and aptitude.

The Identity Accreditation
Workshop is for human resource professionals,
line managers, supervisors, consultants,
psychologists, training managers, counsellors
and anybody who needs to use Identity
to assess people at work or those about
to embark into the working world. The
workshop is structured in an easy to
understand and highly interactive
format making it accessible to the majority
of individuals working in this field.
The Identity accreditation workshop is usually facilitated by Dr. Graham Tyler, an organisational psychologist specialising in assessment of people and maximisation of performance at work. PsyAsia reserves the right to replace the facilitator noted here with another of equal calibre.
